Materials - Overview
Introduction to Materials
What are Materials?
Materials are a combination of with many different properties. These properties can control many different aspects of light interacts with our models.
These materials are then applied to the surface of our models, and control how control concepts such as color, if our model is reflective, see-through, metalic, and more.
With different materials, we can take the same model and create massive variation in the final look.

Types of Materials
The properties that are available will vary depending on the type material.
Many materials take on a PBR approach. PBR stands for Physically Based Rendering, and attempts to give results that behave as realistically as possible.
However, some materials take on a Toon Shader approach. In fact, Toon Shaders are becoming increasingly common, to achieve a more stylized look.
